The initial close-up of the man on the couch, with a slightly somber expression.

The ad opens with a close-up of a Black man sitting on a couch, looking off-camera. The scene transitions to show him with several other men, some older, in what appears to be a communal living space. There are quick cuts to a man in a bathtub pouring chopped food into it, and then a reflection of the main character looking at the man in the bathtub. The ad then shows a group of men wrestling, followed by a scene of men toasting with mugs. The main character is then shown looking at a smartphone displaying a loan refinancing application. The ad ends with the Earnest logo and tagline.
