Seth Godin
Seth Godin is an American author, entrepreneur, and one of the most widely recognized marketing thinkers of the digital age. He founded Yoyodyne in the mid-1990s, one of the first companies to pioneer permission-based online marketing, which was acquired by Yahoo! in 1998, after which he served as Yahoo's Vice President of Direct Marketing. In 2000 he published "Unleashing the Ideavirus," one of the most downloaded e-books of its time, and went on to write more than 18 bestselling books, including "Permission Marketing," "Purple Cow," "Tribes," "Linchpin," and "This Is Marketing." His books have been translated into dozens of languages and have shaped how modern marketers think about consumer trust, differentiation, and the spread of ideas. He also founded Squidoo, a content platform later acquired by HubPages, and helped create the TED conference.
