A mechanical boot repeatedly stomping on a carpet sample.

The video opens with a mechanical boot repeatedly stepping on a circular carpet sample, simulating wear and tear. This is followed by a woman speaking directly to the camera, introducing a test for carpet cleaners. The test involves three carpet samples, each treated with a different cleaning method: dry chemicals, ZeroRez, and steam cleaners. The samples are then subjected to a 'boot machine' that simulates six months of wear and tear, dropping dirt and debris onto them. Finally, the results are shown, comparing the residue left by each cleaning method.
