The initial close-up of Tom Hanks, followed by dramatic historical footage of war.

The video opens with a close-up of Tom Hanks, then transitions to historical footage of World War II. It shows aerial combat, explosions on a ship, soldiers marching in formation, a parade with portraits of leaders, large groups of soldiers in formation, women in uniform, and crowds of people. The footage is a mix of black and white and color, with a dramatic, somber tone. The History Channel logo and show title are overlaid throughout.
