The initial close-up of the hand holding the smartphone with floating animated icons.

The ad opens with a close-up of a hand holding a smartphone displaying the Scotiabank app. Around the phone, animated 3D icons float: a vintage telephone receiver, a pink smartphone, a lightbulb, a graduation cap, a faucet with dripping water, and a stack of papers. The background is split vertically, with the left side showing a room interior and the right side a solid pink color. The ad transitions to show the Scotiabank logo and text on the pink background, followed by a series of circular icons representing different payment categories (cards, education, utilities, shopping, mobile). The pacing is quick and dynamic.
